Follow 1400+ ids = (400) Bad Request

Feb 3, 2014 at 3:37 PM
I am trying to use Tweetinvi to track around 5000 twitter ids in one stream but when I try to more than 1400 ids I get the following error:

The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.

I believe it has something to do with the length of the Uri that is being generated but I might be wrong.

I've been using using the FilteredStream and adding the users by their twitter ids.
stream = new FilteredStream();
stream.AddFollow(tuser.Id);

If you have any suggestions that would be great.

Hi,

I am not sure where the error might come from.
Would you please send me the entire URL your are trying to invoke?

Hi Jago123,

Did you figured out what is the problem ?

Hi,

Unfortunately I forgot about this issue. During my investigation I detected that the problem was not coming from Tweetinvi and that other libraries had the same issue.
I had to create a request on the twitter forum on this issue but I was very busy with the development that I forgot about it.

I will do more investigation. In the meantime, webrequest that are too long won't be accepted by the Twitter API resulting in the 400 error code.

It seems it's related to query string length limitation

Hi,

Do you have any information about that kind of limitation?
Any documentation that I could rely on?
