Search by location but without query string

Feb 26, 2014 at 6:20 AM
Hello,

I would like to search tweet for specific geo location. we can achieve this by using Search.SearchTweets() . But this requires a ITweetSearchParameters which can only generate by using Search.GenerateSearchTweetParameter(string). I don't want to provide any query parameter but want to search all tweets generated from specific location. How can I achieve this?

Hi there,

I have always assumed that it was not possible to perform an empty query because the query parameter is required and there are many official discussions and official replies saying it is not possible to get All tweets from a specific location.

It looks like I assumed wrong, when doing some tests it looks like and the query parameter can be empty.

In the current state of Tweetinvi you have no way to get search results from an empty search.
I will consequently update the code tonight so that you are allowed to perform this query.

Thank you for bringin this to my attention, I will post a reply when the source code has been changed to authorize empty searches.

Hi there,

This feature is now implemented in the Source Code -> Development.
It will be released with Tweetinvi 0.9.0.2 in the coming days.
